Bedtime stories

This week we sent out letters about the Bedtime stories event which will be held at the Science and Media Museum on Tuesday 23rd May 3:30pm – 6:00pm and have had a great response from families.
We only have a small number of tickets left, which cost just £1.00 per family, which will entitle you to a fantastic goody bag! If you require the free bus to get there and back we only have 20 seats left so please bring those reply slips back on Tuesday when school opens again after the bank holiday on Monday.

Welcome back

I hope you all had a fantastic 2 weeks holiday and you managed to have some quality family time. Thank you to all the Year 1 families that took part in the Easter reading challenge, did you manage to read all your books?
Year 3 parents keep a look out for a maths session coming up in the next couple of weeks. Mrs Gill will be running a session to give you some tips on how to help your child improve their maths skills. There will be some free resources to help you too. Year 5 will be going on their residential to Whitby soon too, so if you are unsure about what they need to take or have any general questions about the trip please feel free to call in for a chat with their teacher. Also Year 6 will be taking their SATs, so again if you have any questions about these please call in for a chat.
If you have any other questions please contact me at school on 01274 770270 or call in to the office.

Volunteers wanted!

Bradford Trident and partners have acquired 700 new saplings to be planted on Elmsley’s Rec on Saturday 28th of January. Calling all volunteers, we need you! Register your interest by calling or texting 07929 167958 or simply emailing aurangzeb@bradfordtrident.co.uk

This is because the air quality of BD5 and surrounding areas is the poorest in the district. Especially as we have the two main arterial routes in to the city that dissect the area. Poor air quality affects the health of wildlife and those living in the area. Especially our children and the elderly who are most susceptible. Trees and new saplings absorb many of these pollutants and provide clean oxygen in return, a priceless trade!

If you bring the will and energy we’ll bring the spades, cakes and hot drinks! If you have any questions just drop us a call on the above number or alternatively you can call 01274 768062
